Error message during mission control

Once an article is published, mission control checks that the publication is compliant before validating the mission and the earnings. If you receive an email notifying you of an error, it means the article you submitted is not entirely compliant.

Here is a detailed explanation for each error and how to solve it:

  1. Access to the page is denied (error 403). Our test tool could not access the page while checking // A 500 error has occurred on your page
  2. There is a URL problem on at least 1 link of the mission
  3. The link anchor does not match the briefing
  4. The publication page could not be found. Check post URL (404 error)
  5. Problem with the "rel" tag. Check that the type of "DoFollow"/"Nofollow"/"Sponsored" link respects the mission brief.
  6. The canonical tag refers to the URL of another page / canonical multiple
  7. Redirect error: there is a redirect on the provided URL (3XX)
  8. A "nofollow" meta tag was detected on the post. Please remove this tag.
  9. A "noindex" meta tag was detected on the post. Please remove this tag.
  10. The publication URL does not appear to be referenced on Google. Please do what is necessary to enable its indexing.

And you'll find below more information about how the control works.

Start of mission control: When an article is published, mission control begins on the publication date requested by the advertiser (or immediately if the mission is in express mode).

Mission control process: The control checks the publication every day (is the page accessible? Are the links correct? etc.). In the event of detected error(s), the publisher is notified by email and the error count is increased by one error. The next day, the control runs again. If the error is resolved: the error count is back to 0, otherwise it is increased again... and so on.

Control of Google indexation: From the 20th day, the mission control robot checks whether the article link appears in the Google search results (if it is referenced on Google). If this is not the case: an error is reported.

Validation of the mission: If after 30 days there is no error, the mission is validated. The publisher can then withdraw their earnings.

Cancellation of the mission: If the editor does not correct the errors, the counter will increase. At the 10th error: the mission is cancelled.
