I received an error on my mission: what should I do?
What is mission control?
After publishing your article and entering the publication URL on the platform, Getfluence automatically activates a control system. This robot checks every day that your publication meets all the brief's requirements: page accessibility, link compliance, rel tag, canonical tag, and Google indexation.
If a problem is detected, you will receive a notification.
Where can I find information about the error?
The instructions for correcting the error can be found in two places:
- On the platform, directly in the "Publication" tab of the mission in error — you will find the type of error detected and the actions to take.
- In the notification e-mail you received — it contains a description of the error and a direct link to the mission.

💡 Always start with the platform: that is where you need to act to correct and unblock the mission.
How does the error counter work?
The system checks your publication every day. Here is the logic:
- Each day an error is present, the counter increases by +1.
- If you fix the error, the counter resets to 0 the following day.
- If the counter reaches 10 errors, the mission is cancelled.
- If there are no errors after 30 days, the mission is validated and you can withdraw your earnings.
⚠️ Please note: the Google indexation check starts from day 20. Even if your article is already indexed, the green tick confirming indexation will only appear from day 21 onwards — this is normal system behaviour, not an error.
What errors can appear?
Here is a summary of the most common errors and how to resolve them:
| Error | Main cause | Quick fix |
|---|---|---|
| Error 403 / 500 | The robot cannot access the page (firewall or server error) | Authorise our robot's IP address: 34.78.132.172 in your firewall settings |
| Error 404 | The URL entered is incorrect or the page is not online | Check that the article is published and that the URL entered is correct |
| Error 3XX — Redirect | The URL provided redirects to another page | Enter the article's final URL, without any redirect |
| Link URL problem | One or more links in the mission have a problem | Check that the links in the article match exactly those in the brief |
| Non-compliant anchor | The anchor text does not match the brief | Check that the clickable link text matches the anchor specified in the brief |
| Incorrect rel tag | The link type (DoFollow / Nofollow / Sponsored) does not comply with the brief | Edit the link's rel attribute to bring it in line with the brief |
| Incorrect canonical | The page has a canonical tag pointing to a different URL | Check that the canonical tag points to the article's own URL |
| Meta nofollow / noindex | The page contains a meta tag preventing crawling or indexation | Remove the nofollow or noindex meta tag from the article page |
| Article not indexed on Google | Google has not yet indexed the page (check from day 20) | See the dedicated article: "My publication is not indexed on Google: what should I do?" |

What should I do if I cannot fix the error?
If the problem persists after following the instructions, contact our support team directly from the platform. Please include the mission number and a description of the issue encountered.
📌 Tip: first check whether the error is a false positive (for example, your article is genuinely online but the URL entered contains a typo).
